A New Roof, Zero Stress — Our Experience with Victor’s Home Solutions 🏠✨

Sometimes home projects can feel overwhelming — but our recent roof replacement with Victor’s Home Solutions (formerly Victor’s Roofing) turned out to be smooth, stress-free, and even a little enjoyable. We started with an inspection from Johno, who was friendly, quick, and straightforward about what

Finding Calm at Hand & Stone Massage in Rochester Hills 💜💆🏾‍♀️

Sometimes the best gift you can give yourself is a little time to slow down. My husband and I decided to do just that with a couples massage at Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in Rochester Hills, MI — and it turned out

Post-Massage Bliss & Chesapeake Fries: Lunch at Red Lobster

Post-Massage Bliss & Chesapeake Fries: Lunch at Red Lobster

After a blissful couples massage, the only thing on my mind was food — and not just any food. I wanted something tasty, filling, and easy. We ended up at Red Lobster, and it turned out to be the perfect post-spa stop.

The atmosphere inside was just what I needed: calm, welcoming, and not too crowded. That quiet energy gave me time to actually relax into the meal instead of feeling rushed.

I ordered the sirloin steak — juicy and flavorful — paired with my absolute favorite, Chesapeake fries 😋. If you’ve never had them, they’re perfectly seasoned and crispy, with just enough flavor to make you reach for one more… and then another. I also had a fresh house salad and an ice-cold Pepsi to wash it all down.

What really made this visit stand out, though, was our server, Christina 🌟. She’s not only friendly and attentive, but she also goes the extra mile to make sure my food allergies are clearly communicated to the chef. That kind of care makes dining out so much less stressful, and it’s one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back to this location.

It wasn’t a fancy occasion — just a simple lunch after a morning of self-care — but everything about it felt right. Great food, calm vibes, and service that truly looks out for you.

Some nights, cooking just isn’t happening—and that’s exactly why I love having PF Chang’s as a reliable gluten-free option. I ordered using the PF Chang’s app, where the gluten-free options are clearly labeled and easy to find. I had some Chang’s Cash saved up, so

🎴 The 8th Side – Pokémon Tournaments & Collectibles in Lincoln Park, MI | Zelanda’s Kitchen

If you’re ever in Lincoln Park, Michigan, and looking for a place where fandom, family, and friendliness intersect, let me introduce you to The 8th Side—a cozy, bustling spot that just might become your new go-to for Pokémon tournaments, collectibles, and community vibes.

🎮 Why We Went

This visit was planned—my son found a Pokémon tournament hosted there, and we decided to make it a family outing. The minute we walked in, the space was full of energy and excitement. There was a steady flow of tournament players, casual browsers, and fans soaking in the atmosphere. It had that perfect blend of lively and welcoming, where you’re not just a customer, you’re part of the scene.

One of the owners took the time to talk with us and share how the place got started. That conversation stuck with me. It’s clear they care not just about the business, but about creating a place that feels personal and connected.

🍜 The Food & Missed Opportunity

I’d been hoping to try their noodles (I had them in my sights!), but unfortunately, we arrived just as the kitchen was closing. Next time, I’ll be sure to get there earlier. We did grab a couple of drinks (a Pepsi and a Sprite), and the kids stayed entertained while exploring their corner filled with Pokémon cards, anime merch, and other fun collectibles.

🛍️ The Experience

While we didn’t come home with new cards this time, I loved seeing the care and personality that goes into how they curate the shop. It’s not overly commercial—it feels like a space made by fans, for fans. Even if you’re not deep into the fandom, there’s something charming about places like this where community and passion take center stage.

👀 Final Thoughts

The 8th Side blends nostalgic charm with modern community energy. It’s the kind of spot you root for, and want to see thrive. Even though we didn’t get to try the food this time, the people, the vibe, and the thoughtful layout of the space made it totally worth the visit. I’ll definitely be back—and next time, I’m getting the noodles.
